Clear intranet improved internal communication and simplified employees’ everyday work

CASE: Building an intranet for a technology company

In this project, an intranet was built for a technology company using an existing platform solution. The new intranet improved internal communication, reduced problems caused by scattered information, and made employees’ everyday work easier.


Initial situation

The company, operating in the technology sector, wanted to improve internal communication alongside traditional emails and staff briefings. Communication between management and teams, as well as between teams themselves, was not flowing smoothly enough.

Some employees worked remotely, traveled frequently, or worked on client sites, meaning the entire staff was rarely present at the same time. As a result, important information did not always reach everyone in real time.

Onboarding new employees was also time-consuming because essential information was scattered across multiple locations.

Project goal

The goal of the project was to build a centralized and easy-to-use intranet that would serve as the company’s main internal communication channel.

Another objective was to ensure that employees could access information regardless of time or location. The company also wanted to improve onboarding by bringing all essential information together in one place.

What was done

At the beginning of the project, different options for implementing the intranet were evaluated. A cost-effective ready-made platform was selected as the solution, functioning seamlessly on both desktop and mobile devices.

Next, the company’s key information was gathered and organized into clear categories, including organizational information, HR-related content, IT instructions, and project information.

The content was written in the form of easy-to-use information cards. In addition, ready-made templates for internal communication were created to help share team updates and project-related news.

Besides functioning as an intranet, the platform also supports everyday work by enabling employees to manage tasks, share information, and monitor projects.

The application was integrated into Teams, making it easier to use in daily work.

A short training session was organized for employees, after which the platform was rolled out across the entire organization.
